    Twin Falls, Idaho has a city manager form of government. Seven council members are elected at large on a nonpartisan ballot for 4-year overlapping terms. Members of the council choose one of their fellow members to serve as the mayor of the city.

    The City Council meets every Monday at 4 p.m. with public hearings at 6 p.m., the first and
    third Mondays at the corner of 3rd and Idaho streets.  The Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 7 p.m. the second and last Tuesday of the month in the City Hall. 
    Both the City Council and Planning and Zoning meetings are open to the public.

    Twin Falls Highway District voting qualifications are the same as in other elections, but you must have resided in the highway district for at least 30 days.  You may register at the polls on Election Day.

    HIGHWAY COMMISSION

    Three members are elected on a nonpartisan ballot in special highway district elections for overlapping terms. A commissioner must live in the sub-district he or she will represent.  Voters of all three sub-districts elect the commission members.

    Commission meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 1 p.m. at the Highway District Office, 2620 Kimberly Rd., Meetings are open to the public.  For more information, call 733.4062.
